Here it is folks. It’s taken us a long time, but we finally got it: the undisputed best video ever in the history of the internet. This Scott Sterling guy just leaving his guts, balls, and probably a few teeth out there on the court. And if you don’t die laugh at the end when the student section is partying with Sterling’s dead body on the stretcher then you’re just a flat foot.

If this were just another normal regular season game in December or January, I would actually be ok with this loss. The Bruins threw 41 shots on goal and Kinkaid made 40 saves. Kid played out of his mind and Boston just wasn’t getting the bounces, oh well.

However, this is NOT just another regular season game. From here on out, every game is a playoff game. So I don’t care that Kinkaid played out of his mind. I don’t care that the Bruins outshot the Devils 40-13. I don’t even care that they were on the road! But at this point in the season….

Give me results god damn it! Losing six of the last seven games when you’re fighting for your playoff lives??? C’mon now! I don’t blame this on Neely, I don’t blame this on Claude, I blame this on the players. David Krecji has all but dissappeared, same can be said about Loui. Boy wonder David Pastrnak hasn’t been scoring. Even Bergeron has looked bad out there. The defense is awful, we already knew that, but team-wide, to come out in the first period and look like you’re not even trying was just a disheartening sight. Now the only good thing about last night was Detroit losing to Montreal, which puts us 1 point ahead of them with the same number of games played. I know I’ve been saying this for probably the past 3 weeks now, but now I mean it: there is NO margin for error. At all.

But to be honest, I’ve got a bad feeling about the way this season ends, and having the next two games against the Blues and the Blackhawks does not alleviate these fears in the slightest (Detroit plays the Wild and the Maple Leafs for perspective). That game last night against the Devils was a real eye opener. Sweeney built this ship to wreck and now it’s time to ride it out. Go Bruins, I guess.

7 days in Cancun has left me broke, phoneless, sunglassesless, sick, tired, extremely behind on homework and overall sad. I need to listen to a song with someone who has it worse then me. But since I’m an optimist and haven’t posted in a while here a second SOTD

 

What happens in Cancun stays in Cancun, especially our phones. Figures the one week we’re away Boston sports decides to break headlines so lets get right into it:

 

DE Chandler Jones Traded for OL Johnathan Cooper and a 2nd Rd Pick

Sometimes I hate being right, I really do. I always believed Chandler Jones was the most overrated player on the defense and sure as shit Belicheck agreed with me. Jones was never bad, just not as good as we needed him to be and I wish him all the best. With Sheard, Ryan, Butler as well as Collins and Hightower all needing new contracts in the near future, the writing was kind of on the wall. The Patriots now have the #6 pick in the 2013 draft in Cooper and get a coveted 2nd rd pick which gives the team flexibility to possibly move up to the 1st rd of the draft if they so choose. Getting an O Lineman is never a “sexy pick”, but definitely much needed. When Cooper stays healthy, he’s an absolute savage, so hopefully he can sure up a shaky line this coming season.

 

Bruins G0 0-3 Out  West and That Was Sick News to Come Back To

My Julien senses were tingling all week in Cancun. I knew something was wrong, I just didn’t know what. Then when I finally got home I found the Bruins had lost 2-1 to the Kings, 4-0 to the Ducks, and 3-2 to the Sharks. So now we sit at the lovely #6 seed with 9 games to go. Cancun already took 3 years off my life, can’t wait for the B’s push to the playoffs take off another 3!

 

Celtics Took a Play Out of the Bruins Book and Drop 4 in a Row Last Week

God damn it when the blog is away the mice will play! Or rather won’t! Yeah I know they just beat the Magic and the 76ers but Jesus dropping 4 in a row and down to the 5th seed after spending most of the season at the 3 spot is tough to swallow. Lets hope for better performance by both Boston squads.

 

Robert Kraft Writes a Letter to Goodell Asking for the Draft Picks Back

 

Too little too late Mr. Kraft. If  only you had fought this valiantly from the jump maybe things would be different. You took a half measure at the start of this whole debacle and now we’re all paying the price. This is just a publicity stunt to try and save some face with the fan base. Good try, good effort I guess. Next time your quarterback needs you to step up and defend him….no half measures.

 

 

So all and all pretty bad week for Boston, but have no fear, we’ll be here to bring peace and stability to the land. It’s a great week to have a week, let’s get after it!
